Jakarta — Indonesia’s presence at the World Muslim Scout Jamboree (WMSJ) 2025 has drawn international attention after the TMI Al-Amien Prenduan contingent from Sumenep, Madura secured two major awards. The event, held at the Cibubur Scout Camp in East Jakarta, brought together more than 15,000 participants from 16 countries, making it one of the largest Muslim scouting gatherings in recent years.

On September 11, the Indonesian contingent was named Model Contingent and also received the award for Best Camp Tent (Camp Pa 4). The recognition was announced during the Scout Night Show and presented by WMSJ 2025 Chairman Kak Akrimul Hakim.

“This is a blessing for our contingent and a message to the world that Al-Amien’s students are among the best,” said Moh. Maliji Jalali, S.Sos.I., who accompanied the group. He emphasized that the awards reflect the discipline, teamwork, and creativity of the students throughout the jamboree.

The Model Contingent award was given to participants who demonstrated exceptional cooperation, discipline, and solidarity, while the Best Camp Tent award recognized the team’s creativity, cleanliness, and organization.

Beyond the accolades, the contingent also showcased elements of Indonesian culture, enriching the jamboree’s international atmosphere. Their participation highlighted how pesantren-based students can excel not only in religious studies but also in leadership and global youth forums.

For the students, the jamboree was more than a competition. It was an opportunity to build friendships with scouts from across the Muslim world, exchange experiences, and strengthen international solidarity.

The success of TMI Al-Amien Prenduan underscores Indonesia’s growing role in global youth diplomacy, where education, culture, and leadership converge to project soft power on the international stage.
