This elite recognition signifies the Johor Sultanate’s appreciation of President Prabowo’s efforts to deepen bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries.
The Darjah Kerabat Johor, established in 1886 by Sultan Abu Bakar, stands among the most exclusive royal honors in Southeast Asia. Traditionally awarded to royalty and a select few heads of state, the distinction carries the motto “Muafakat Itu Berkat” — a tribute to the value of unity in diplomacy.
The award includes a ceremonial gold necklace inscribed in Jawi and a nine-pointed star that represents strength, vision, and unity — qualities attributed to leaders who promote peace and regional stability.
