BNI secured six Digital CX Awards 2026, strengthening its international reputation through customer-centric innovation, digital corporate banking, and a long-term strategy for global competitiveness.
As financial institutions compete in an increasingly interconnected global economy, international recognition has become more than a symbol of excellence—it serves as an indicator of credibility, innovation, and strategic readiness for future expansion. For banks seeking to strengthen their presence beyond domestic markets, consistent achievements in digital banking play an essential role in building trust among international partners, investors, and multinational corporations. This perspective is reflected in PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) after the bank received six prestigious honors at the Digital CX Awards 2026, organized by The Digital Banker in Singapore.
The international awards recognize financial institutions that demonstrate excellence in digital customer experience, innovation, and technology-driven banking services. BNI was honored in six categories: Best Digital Bank for CX – Indonesia, Best Wholesale/Transaction Bank for Digital CX – Indonesia, Best Digital CX – Account Opening and Customer Onboarding, Outstanding Digital CX – Corporate Banking App – Indonesia, Outstanding Digital CX – Payments and Collection Services – Indonesia, and Outstanding Digital CX – Cash Management Platform. Collectively, these recognitions strengthen BNI’s standing as one of Indonesia’s leading digital banking institutions with internationally acknowledged service standards.
Beyond the awards themselves, the achievement aligns with BNI’s broader international business strategy. The bank has continued expanding its global network to facilitate trade finance, cross-border transactions, and investment flows connecting Indonesia with major financial centers worldwide. As international commerce becomes increasingly digital, corporate clients require banking partners capable of delivering integrated transaction services, secure payment infrastructure, and seamless financial connectivity across multiple jurisdictions. The recognition from The Digital Banker reinforces BNI’s capability to meet those expectations.
According to Okki Rushartomo, Corporate Secretary of BNI, the awards reflect the company’s commitment to continuously strengthening digital transformation while delivering banking solutions that remain relevant to the evolving needs of businesses. He emphasized that innovation is not pursued merely to adopt new technologies but to improve customer experience and create sustainable value across every business segment.
A significant contributor to this achievement is BNIdirect, BNI’s integrated digital platform designed for corporate banking services. The platform enables businesses to manage payments, collections, liquidity management, and cash management within a single digital ecosystem. By simplifying financial operations and improving transaction efficiency, BNIdirect supports companies engaged in both domestic and international business activities, making it an important pillar of BNI’s digital expansion strategy.
BNIdirect’s operational performance further demonstrates growing market confidence. As of 31 December 2025, the platform had served 6,613 corporate customers, processed more than 388,000 transactions, and recorded transaction values totaling approximately IDR 15.39 trillion. These figures illustrate increasing adoption among corporate clients while reflecting the effectiveness of BNI’s investment in digital banking infrastructure.
From an international perspective, BNI’s success also highlights the growing competitiveness of Indonesian financial institutions. Banks from emerging economies are increasingly recognized for their ability to develop innovative, customer-centric digital solutions that meet global standards. Such recognition enhances institutional reputation, strengthens investor confidence, and creates greater opportunities for international collaboration in trade finance, treasury services, and digital payment ecosystems.
Looking ahead, BNI intends to continue enhancing its digital capabilities by expanding financial ecosystems, improving customer experience, and investing in advanced transaction banking solutions. The six Digital CX Awards 2026 therefore represent not only recognition of past achievements but also a strategic milestone supporting the bank’s long-term ambition to strengthen its international footprint while contributing to the global evolution of digital banking.
