Singapore – In a dazzling evening filled with emotion and nostalgia, Christopher Lee emerged as the most celebrated figure at the 30th Star Awards, held on July 6 at The Theatre at Mediacorp. The Malaysian-born Singaporean actor took home three major accolades, including the coveted Special Achievement Award, marking a defining moment in his decades-long career.
Presented by Minister for Digital Development and Information, Josephine Teo, the Special Achievement Award recognized Lee’s enduring contribution to the entertainment industry. During his acceptance, the 53-year-old actor offered a heartfelt tribute to his family.
“You received this award a long time ago,” Lee said, addressing his wife, actress Fann Wong, who was seated in the audience. “You are my inspiration and motivation.” He also shared a touching message for his 10-year-old son Zed: “I want to raise you to be a good person. Thank you for being my son.”
Lee’s emotional night continued with two more wins: Best Actor for his role in the gripping mystery-crime drama Kill Sera Sera, and Best Programme Host for the culinary variety show Dishing With Chris Lee (Season 2).
Reflecting on his acting award, Lee said: “I feel so surprised. Kill Sera Sera is quite a dark production and difficult to film. I’ve never acted to win awards. What matters most is that the audience connects with the story. Thank you for supporting Kill Sera Sera.”
The 2025 edition of Star Awards saw over 200 artistes in attendance, making it the most star-studded event in the award show’s three-decade history. But it was Lee’s sincerity, legacy, and love for his craft that made the night unforgettable.
As the curtain fell, it was clear: Christopher Lee is not only a star—he’s an icon of commitment, humility, and excellence.
